This was written for a "Commitment" Challenge as part of the 2024 12 Song Challenge.
A contemporary setting of the Sanctus, written as a standalone element to incorporate into a modern liturgical communion service.

Sometimes, we are a bit slow in asking God what we really want. Not Bartimaeus, he knew exactly what he wanted and shouted it out. I've tried to follow that theme in this song.
Based on Exodus 33-34 when the Lord proclaimed His name to Moses on the mountain.
Sometimes we ask ourselves, "What have I done to deserve a love like this?"
The beauty of growing older is obtaining wisdom. This song is a plea to God asking for wisdom with compromise.
In the style of Fanny Crosby, and inspired by Isaac Watts, this hymn sets the congregation in the perspective of the three Magi worshiping Christ.
